Magical boxes

The past week Hybrid embryos are all over the news. Very controversial...well if you're stupid and don't stop and read the science properly.

So...I am not a scientist but here is the laymans explanation for the morally challenged amongst you.

It's an animal egg...they get rid of the animal nucleus and replace it with human DNA. Yes there is a a tiny percentage f that which will be animal dna but it is not a hereditary trait. In other words if you were actually making babies with these eggs you wouldn't have some crazy animal/human hybrid as non of the animal dna would 'express' itself. Besides we are not talking about babies here people.It's to grow stem cells to help in research. So if you still have a problem with it then don't come whinging to me when you get Motor Neuron disease and want some of the fine medicine that comes out of this research.

But hey....here is what it boils down to.

If I buy a box of chocolates and a box of tampons and then I empty out the box of tampons and put the chocolates in the tampon box the chocolates will not now nor will they ever be tampons...get it?
